Aircraft Renters Insurance

While aircraft renters’ insurance may not be required for you as a pilot, it is an important consideration. Pilots may purchase their own insurance policy which is entirely separate from insurance carried by an aircraft owner or flight school. Renter’s insurance exists to protect pilots in the event of physical damage occurring to a rented or student-piloted aircraft, and in addition, legal liability arising out of the use of an unowned airplane or helicopter.
