AV8 Flight School Recognized: Operator of the Year

AV8 Flight School recognized as Operator of the Year by Flying Cloud Airport Advisory Commission

On October 10, 2024, AV8 Flight School was awarded Operator of the Year by the Flying Cloud Airport Advisory Commission. This achievement is a recognition of voluntary compliance, awarded by the Metropolitan Airports Commission Minneapolis – Saint Paul.

Criteria for the award includes promotion of and commitment to pilot education for noise abatement procedures and training, and dedication to continuous improvement. Improvement relates to both facility aesthetics and community relations.

AV8 Flight School has enhanced our education environment and improved facilities, and is regularly involved with a variety of educational and community opportunities. In June, we participated in ACE Camp, an annual opportunity for students to explore potential careers in aviation. Later in September, Girls in Aviation Day 2024 was an opportunity to foster greater participation and discovery in aviation experiences. The Helicopter Expo, also held in September, annually invites the local public to a closer view of aircraft and a chance to speak with pilots in person. All of these developments and events ultimately contribute to greater interest in aviation and an improved experience for all.
