Born in Bogotá and raised in the Twin Cities, Luna’s love for aviation began early on the flights she took to visit family. After a discovery flight at Flying Cloud Airport, she knew she wanted to become a first‑generation pilot. She graduated from Minnetonka High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s in Commercial Aviation from the University of North Dakota, where she also instructed.

Her desire to return home and support the community she grew up in brought her to AV8 Flight School, where she works as both an Office Administrator and Certified Flight Instructor. She is committed to supporting students, strengthening operations, and helping future pilots feel confident and welcomed in their training environment.

Outside of flying, Luna enjoys traveling, camping, boating, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
