Ray grew up surrounded by aviation. He always knew he wanted to get his pilot’s license. It all started when one of his friends asked if he wanted to tag along on his training flight. That week Ray started training to get his private pilot’s license.

He decided to go down south and earn a degree at The University of Alabama. After college he decided to finish his flight training at ATP Flight School. He began instructing Tailwheel on the grass strips of Minnesota. Ray loves seeing his students go from nervous to confident and enjoys that every day brings a new challenge in the skies.

When Ray isn’t in the air he’s spending time on the lake with his friends, snowboarding, and traveling.
