Liz Strohfus Award 2024, and Upcoming September 20, 2025 GIAD Event

AV8 Flight School is honored to accept the Liz Strohfus W.A.S.P. Level Donor Award in recognition of our participation in the vital work of supporting women in aviation. This distinguished award pays tribute to the legacy of Elizabeth “Betty” Strohfus, a pioneering Women Airforce Service Pilot whose courage and dedication continue to inspire generations of aviators.

As proud supporters of Girls in Aviation Day, including the milestone 10th Anniversary hosted by Stars of the North and Women in Aviation International, we celebrate the incredible progress made in encouraging young women to pursue careers in aviation and aerospace. We also look forward with excitement to the upcoming 11th Annual Girls in Aviation Day on September 20, 2025, an inspiring global–and local–event where girls from around the world explore aviation opportunities and the STEM fields that support them.
